The choir raised money for Miss Lorraine Richards Lorraine lives locally in Broom She is 35 years old and is now unable to walk as she has multiple sclerosis She also has difficulty coordinating movement in her hands Lorraine has an electric wheelchair and has visits from carers twice a day from Banfield Care Agency who help her with all activities of daily living.
Prior to her increasing immobility, Lorraine was the assistant manager at Greggs in Stratford She enjoys watching the birds in her garden through the window and can often be seen heading down Victoria Rd in her wheelchair - often stopping for a battery recharge on the way to the bus stop to get the bus into Stratford She would like to use the money collected at the concert to have internet access from home and purchase an adapted ipad that she can use over the cold winter months when she is not able to get out In addition to Lorraine, the choir hopes to donate £100 to Bidford Primary School towards their trip to Young Voices in the new year.
